August 7th ~ Curriculum Night from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

October 17th ~ Homecoming Football Game- Carnival starts at 5 pm - On the outdoor basketball courts
October 18th ~ Homecoming Dance CVHS Courtyard 7:00 pm
October 20th ~ GPS District Wide College and Career Fair at Gilbert High School 6-8pm
November 5th ~ Jostens Junior Presentation - Auditorium @ Coyote Time 9:00 am. AM EVIT students must sign in at the end of the assembly in order to get excused for EVIT/Homeschool Activity.
November 7th~ Jostens Junior Order Day - Cafeteria 10:30 am to 12:30 pm
November 11th ~ Veterans Day
November 18th ~ Senior Panoramic 7 am in big gym
November 21st ~ LAST DAY for Senior Portraits
November 26th - 28th ~ Thanksgiving Break
December 1st ~ FAFSA Application Opens
December 2nd ~ 13th - FAFSA Workshops daily during the lunch hours in Room 113. No appointment is necessary.
December 15th ~ FINAL DEADLINE TO ORDER CAP AND GOWN
December 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th ~ Fall Finals- SCHEDULE
December 27th to Jan 2nd ~ Winter Break
March 6th ~ Golden Scholars (time TBD...will be in announcements)
March 9th to 20th ~ Spring Break
March 23rd ~ Time to start clearing your accounts for graduation. If you have textbooks or novels from previous years, or books for classes you are no longer in, please return them to the bookstore asap. If you have a textbook for a class you are currently enrolled in, you will return that to your teacher at the end of the year. If you have unpaid class fees for this year or previous years, please get those paid as soon as possible. Cash, check and credit/debit are accepted. Please don't wait until the last minute. There is a lot going on at the end of the year, so you need to make sure you're clear now. Please stop by the Bookstore if you want to see what's due.
March 30th ~ Cap, Gown and Announcements delivered. Pick up is outside the Bookstore during lunch. Any orders not picked up at lunch can be picked up in the bookstore, beginning March 31.
April 4th ~ Coyote Excellence Applications Due
April 8th ~ Copper Coyote Awards Ceremony 6-8 pm Auditorium (families invited)
April 11th ~ Prom ~ 8pm - 11pm (Location to be announced later)
May 1st ~ Senior Celebrations 9-10am in the Auditorium
May 1st ~ Senior Declaration Day 10-12:30pm in the Courtyard
May 8th ~ Senior Celebration (time TBD)
May 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th ~ Finals (schedule TBD)
May 15th ~ Fees and Fines Due to Bookstore. Must be paid in FULL.
May ~ TBD Seating/line assignments will be posted in the Senior Google Classroom. Check the list to find your row number, Line Leader and if you're on the East or West side. Any student whose name does not appear on the list must see Mrs. Cat Jones in the front office immediately, or contact Erica Helfrey at erica.helfrey@gilbertschools.net
May 17th ~ Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the CVHS Auditorium. This is an Optional participation for Graduating Students and their families, but comes HIGHLY recommended. No tickets required.
May 19th ~ Last day of classes for Seniors. Turn Chromebooks and chargers to the Library.
May 19th ~ Senior Sunset.
May 21st ~ Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal 6:45am - Meet in the courtyard and find your Row/Line Leader. Look for signs that say East or West and the row number. Your Line Leader will help you line up in REVERSE alphabetical order, and we will practice walking into the stadium, keeping pace, and your sitting order, etc. We'll make it as quick as possible, promise.
May 21st ~ The Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will be held from 7-9 pm @ Coyote Stadium. Gates open at 5:30pm. GRADUATES will be in their assigned classroom NO LATER THAN 6:15pm. Allow yourself plenty of extra time to arrive and park and make it to your assigned classroom on time.

May 26th ~ If you choose not to participate in the Graduation ceremony, Diplomas will be available for pick-up after 9am in the front office as long as you have met all of the Graduation requirements.

***Each year we provide directions for seniors to either download or transfer their files from their GPS Google Workspace account to another Google account so they can access any of their files after graduation. Here are the directions for both the download process and the process to transfer files to a new Google account. The Transfer process requires creating a new account or using an existing personal account to transfer to, and will only allow up to 15 GB.
