Monique Dewarrat, Assistant Principal
I started my career in education teaching fourth grade, where I found joy in shaping young minds. When my first son was preparing for kindergarten, I decided to transfer to Gilbert Public Schools to be closer to home. I was eager to challenge myself further, so I aimed for the junior high level and secured a position teaching math at Greenfield Junior High.
Throughout my five years in the classroom, my favorite aspect was building strong relationships with my students and colleagues. This passion for connections led me to transition into school counseling, which brought me to Campo Verde High School.
Embracing the role of a counselor was fulfilling, yet I knew I was ready for a new challenge. This year, I made the exciting move into administration, overseeing freshmen and Student Services. I look forward to this new chapter and the opportunities it brings to positively influence students, staff, and the school community.
