Seal of Arts Proficiency
Share creative expressions & experiences:
This program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated high levels of proficiency in the Arizona Arts Education Standards through personal expression and creative experiences in arts education programs at the time of graduation. Seal is placed on the diploma and noted on the transcript up to 90 days after graduation. Requirements include specific coursework, extracurriculars, and a capstone project.
Requirements
Please include sufficient documentation for ALL of the following:
- A final GPA of 3.0 or 4.0 in each qualifying arts/career and technical education (CTE) course.
- 4 minimum credit requirements in one of the following ways:
- A minimum of 4 credits in one artistic discipline:
(dance, music, theatre, visual arts, or media arts)
OR - 3 credits in one artistic discipline, and 1 qualifying creative industries CTE credit or separate artistic discipline. OR
- 2 credits in one artistic discipline, and 2 credits in a qualifying creative industries CTE class or a separate artistic discipline.
- A minimum of 4 credits in one artistic discipline:
- 80 hours of arts-related extracurricular activities for 2023 graduates and beyond.
- A student capstone project
