CV Spring Sports Athletes Honored at GPS Board Meeting

Congratulations to Campo Verde High’s Boys Volleyball, Boys Track and Field, and Girls Track and Field for being honored with a Superintendent Recognition at the May 2025 GPS Board meeting. 

Campo Verde Boys Volleyball were named 5A State Champions after their recent game against Arizona College Prep. While the team was down 2 sets at the beginning of the game, CV bounced back to sweep the competition in the last 3 sets. Your resilience in the face of adversity is to be admired and GPS is proud of your dedication to the game. Congratulations CV Boys Volleyball State Champs!

Campo Verde Boys Track and Field were named Division II State Champs with Luke Ahles getting 2nd in Boys Div II 1600m, Drew Pollard getting 2nd in Boys Div II Javelin, and Hudson Kerby winning the title of Div II State Pole Vault Champion. Congratulations CV Boys Track and Field on these great achievements! We look forward to the bright futures ahead of you all.

Campo Verde Girls Track and Field became Div II 4x800m State Champions with relay team Bianca Hurtado, Kara Sistak, Lily Mills, and Susan Edwards. Relay member Bianca Hurtado was also named Div II Girls State 800m Champion. Sienna Barnwell also became a State Champ in Div II Girls Javelin. Runners-Up include Peityn Lin in Div II Girls 300m Hurdles and London Rigby in Div II Girls High Jump. Congratulations CV Girls Track and Field on all your great accomplishments this season! GPS is proud of your determination and looks forward to your many future achievements.
