Several Campo Verde High School staff and students were recognized at the GPS Governing Board Meeting on April 28, 2026, for high-level achievements across wrestling, cheer, and strength conditioning programs.

  • Wrestling: The Campo Verde Girls wrestling team finished as the D1 State Runner-up. Standout Bekah Hodges won the 134 lbs D1 State Championship, with Mia Pietryka taking 2nd place at 109 lbs, and Lola Hodges taking 2nd place at 147 lbs. In the boys’ division, Trey Kessinger won the 115 lbs D2 State Championship.
  • Cheer: The Campo Verde Cheer team, under the direction of Coach Shea, won the AIA Division II All-Girl Cheer State Championship.
  • Strength and Conditioning: Coach Bishop was named the National High School Strength Coach Regional Coach of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Division. This annual award recognizes high school strength and conditioning coaches for coaching achievements and professional passion within the field.
