Volunteer Network Expo - Together We Shine

The theme of this year’s Gilbert Public Schools Volunteer Network (VNET) Expo was “Together We Shine,” a very appropriate message to represent the hundreds of volunteers making a difference in our schools every day.

Volunteers are involved in multiple roles on our campuses, as PTO presidents, Watch D.O.G. role models, classroom event organizers, athletic booster members, and more. VNET plays a vital role in supporting all of these GPS volunteers, ensuring that our PTOs and Boosters have all the necessary training to be successful.

The Expo took place on August 16th at Highland High with 460 volunteers registered to attend. The energy was high, and the commitment to our students was evident as hundreds of volunteers poured into the auditorium, proudly wearing their school-branded t-shirts and smiles.  

Hundreds of volunteers filed through the corridors of Highland High to get to class, ready to learn about subjects such as:

• Booster Fundraising
• Unlocking Volunteers Potential
• First Year of Being a Volunteer Board Member
• PTO Finance
• And more.
