Daily Announcements
Today is Friday, February 15th, 2019 GENERAL
Beginning on Tuesday, February 19, please be aware the location of the first hour "sweep" will be changed from the Cafeteria to Room 113 in the Admin building (the classroom directly across from attendance). Thank you. Below is a brief explanation of sweep:
Students who do not arrive to their first hour class on time will be redirected to the sweep room. A parent or guardian must physically enter the building to sign in the late student, otherwise the student will be directed to sweep. Parent phone calls will not excuse the sweep.

While in sweep students will not be able to work on assignments, socialize, or use any electronic devices. Procedures will be in place for students to make up class work and tests they may have missed when they were in Sweep. If a student is swept on a test day, the teacher will allow the student to make up the test. Students who have an assignment due will deliver it to the teacher that same day. All students will be informed of how the Sweep program will be integrated into their school day.

Students who demonstrate repeated tardy behavior will be subject to the progression of interventions and disciplinary action in an effort to encourage and teach proper time management skills. Consequences for sweep will go as follows:
  • 1st Tardy Offense: Students will be sent to sweep for the remainder of the class period and it will be documented.

  • 2nd Tardy Offense: Students will be sent to sweep for the remainder of the class period and receive a referral.

  • 3rd Tardy Offense: Students will be sent to sweep for the remainder of the class period and assigned Saturday School.

Data will be collected on the effectiveness of the program as we believe the sweep program will benefit students, parents and teachers. We strive to give students every opportunity to be successful and the first step towards success is having prompt attendance.

Students should log off and shut down their Chromebooks at least once a week.  When they sign back on, it triggers the update process automatically.  If they are not doing this, at some point, they will have a problem. If students are encountering problems the first step is to run an update, HOW TO Update Chromebook
A message from Security:

  • Keep parking permits "visible" at all times. . . not hidden behind visors, or you will receive a cute bright orange sticky sticker
  • You must show your school ID to Security as you exit the parking lot each day.  Infinite Campus will not be accepted to leave the parking lot during school hours.
  • Take a FULL picture of your ID on your smartphone for a backup in case you forget, or lose, your ID.
  • Parking permits are sold out.  If you need a permit, go to the bookstore to get on the waiting list! Do not park on campus until you have your permit!
