Lab Biology in a wonderful introduction to the lab sciences at Campo Verde High School! Students learn how to conduct experiments, write up lab reports, use microscopes and learn about the basic underlying concepts of biological sciences.  We cover topics such as the cell and its components, cellular processes such as protein synthesis, photosynthesis & cellular respiration, ecology, inheritance, evolution, and taxonomy.

About Me

I am originally from Colorado and moved to Phoenix in 1995. I have a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Spanish from ASU, teacher certification from Rio Salado College and a M.A. in Secondary Education from Plymouth State University. Before teaching, I worked for the USDA in the fields of agronomy and entomology. This is my 7th year teaching!

My husband Casey and I have been married for 15 years and we have 5 children together. Three are young adults (all working in the education field) and the younger two attend a local junior high school. We also are a foster family and at any given time have babies and toddlers in our home.

For fun, we enjoy traveling (we just spent the last year in the Dominican Republic volunteering at a school)! We also enjoy camping and hiking as a family. I love to read, watch murder mystery movies and study nutrition!
