Academic Hall of Fame

Advanced Placement Hall of Fame

Mrs. Krista Cox, Assistant Principal

Since Campo Verde High School opened there has been a growing number of Advanced Placement Scholars. During the course of the 2016-17 school-year, information was presented to the Advanced Placement Committee, in regards to promoting the creation of an “Academic Hall of Fame”. CVHS will begin showcasing our academic highlights by presenting an Advanced Placement (AP)  Hall of Fame to recognize our students within the four AP Scholar award categories:

  • National Scholar:  earned an average of 4 or higher on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

  • Scholar with Distinction:  earned an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.

  • Scholar with Honor:  earned an average of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

  • Scholar:  completed three or more AP Exams, with grades of 3 or higher.

The AP Committee extracted data from the College Board to determine which students have received these awards since the school opened  in 2009-2010. If a student qualifies under the AP Scholar criteria, they would be noted on the highest level of achievement they received and not in each individual category. Finally, we determined the best location to be in the front lobby of the school for any student, parent, or community member to observe. CVHS would like to induct all students since 2010 into the AP Hall of Fame on April 28th at our 2017 AP Kickoff event.

Congratulations to all recipients of an AP Scholar award! List of Award Winners
